My commitment to your privacy
In this policy, “I”, “me” and “Pace Home Loans” mean Acevantage Pty Ltd ACN 674 227 984, trading as Pace Home Loans, and its broker, Eric Ng. Acevantage Pty Ltd ACN 674 227 984 is authorised under QED CREDIT SERVICES PTY LTD ACN 147 272 295 Australian Credit Licence 387856
I’m bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), including the Australian Privacy Principles and the credit reporting rules. This policy explains how I handle your personal information when you use this website, contact me, or ask me to help you get a loan. I may update it from time to time, and the date above shows the latest version.
What is personal information?
Personal information is information or an opinion about you that identifies you, or could reasonably identify you, whether it’s true or not and whether it’s written down or not. It includes credit information: information about your credit history and your eligibility for credit, such as what you’ve borrowed, your repayments and any defaults.
How do I collect your personal information?
Mostly from you: when you fill in a form on this website, call or email me, meet with me, or give me documents for a loan application.
With your consent, I also collect it from others, such as lenders, credit reporting bodies, identity verification services, your employer, your accountant, your conveyancer or the person who referred you. When this website is used, some information is also collected automatically. See “This website, cookies and the Meta Pixel” below.
What personal information do I collect and hold?
- Who you are and how to contact you: name, date of birth, address, phone, email, and identity documents.
- Your work and finances: occupation, employment history, income and proof of earnings, expenses, assets, liabilities, bank, superannuation and insurance details, and your tax file number where the law allows or requires it.
- Your household: dependants, marital status, and how long you’ve lived at your address.
- Credit information: credit reports, repayment history, defaults and credit eligibility information, obtained from lenders and credit reporting bodies only with your written authority.
- Your dealings with me: enquiries, records of the loans I’ve helped with, complaints, and any feedback or surveys you complete.
- Sensitive information, only with your consent and only where it’s needed: for example, membership of a professional association for a profession-based loan, health information if you ask for help with hardship, or a criminal record if a lender asks.
Why do I collect your personal information?
- To respond to your enquiry and work out your options.
- To give you credit assistance: assess what may suit you, prepare and lodge applications, and look after your loan afterwards, including loan reviews.
- To deal with lenders, insurers and other service providers on your behalf, and to refer you to other services you ask about.
- To verify your identity, manage risk and prevent fraud.
- To meet my legal obligations, including record-keeping, anti-money laundering laws and responsible lending, and to deal with regulators and complaints bodies.
- To send you information about products and services, where the law allows. You can opt out at any time.
You don’t have to give me your personal information. If you don’t, I may not be able to help you, and a lender may not be able to process your application.
Who do I disclose your personal information to?
- QED Credit Services Pty Ltd, the holder of the Australian Credit Licence I work under, and its mortgage aggregator group, for compliance, records, systems and complaints.
- Lenders, lessors and lenders mortgage insurers you or I approach, and their intermediaries.
- Valuers, identity verification services, credit reporting bodies, and your employer or referees to confirm details.
- Your representatives and the people involved in your purchase, such as your accountant, conveyancer, lawyer, real estate agent or financial adviser, and any guarantor.
- Service providers who help me run my business, including information technology, customer relationship management and cloud hosting providers.
- Auditors, regulators, law enforcement agencies and external dispute resolution schemes, and anyone else where the law requires it.
- Anyone you consent to, and anyone considering buying or investing in my business, under confidentiality.
I don’t sell your personal information.
Do I disclose your personal information outside Australia?
Sometimes. My licensee’s group and some of its suppliers may store or access information in New Zealand, the Philippines and the United States. The lead management system and the email delivery service that handle website enquiries, and Meta, which runs the Pixel on this site, may store data overseas, including in the United States. Some information is held in cloud systems and accessed remotely, so it isn’t always practical to know exactly where it’s held. I take reasonable steps to make sure overseas recipients handle it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Automated decision making
I use computer systems to compare your situation against lender policies and to narrow down the products that may suit you. A person, me, decides which loans to recommend.
This website, cookies and the Meta Pixel
This website uses the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta Platforms (the company behind Facebook and Instagram), to measure how well my ads work and to show ads to people who have visited the site. The Pixel uses cookies and similar technology in your browser. It sends Meta these events, and nothing else from this site:
- PageView, on every page.
- ViewContent, on some topic pages, with the topic name.
- Lead, when you finish booking a session, with the topic you chose and a reference number.
The answers you give in forms, such as your income, savings or notes, are never sent to Meta. Meta may combine Pixel data with information it already holds about you, under its own privacy policy. When you first arrive, the site also notes the page you landed on, the site that referred you and any campaign codes in the link, keeps them in your browser for that visit, and sends them with any enquiry you make. You can block cookies in your browser settings and manage how Meta uses this data in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings. See the terms and conditions for more on cookies and tracking.
Direct marketing
I may send you information about home loans and related services. You can tell me at any time that you don’t want to receive it, by phone or email, or by using the unsubscribe link in any email. There’s no charge, and I’ll act on your request as soon as reasonably possible. I won’t use sensitive information for marketing without your consent.
Accessing and correcting your personal information
You can ask for a copy of the personal information I hold about you at any time. I aim to respond within 30 days, and sooner where I can. In limited cases the law lets me refuse access, and if so I’ll tell you why in writing.
If you think information I hold is wrong, out of date or incomplete, ask me to correct it. I’ll respond within 7 days and aim to decide within 30 days. If I don’t agree to correct it, I’ll tell you why, and you can ask me to keep a note with the information saying you believe it’s wrong.
Government identifiers
I only use or disclose government identifiers, such as your tax file number or Medicare number, where the law requires or allows it, and I don’t use them to identify you in my own records.
Dealing with me without identifying yourself
For general enquiries, such as how a scheme works or what a calculator shows, you can deal with me without giving your name, where that’s lawful and practical. To help you apply for a loan, I’ll need to know who you are.
How secure is your personal information?
I take reasonable steps to protect the information I hold, on paper and electronically, from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, change or disclosure. That includes secure, password-protected systems and limiting access to the people who need it. No transmission over the internet is ever completely secure. I keep loan records for as long as the law requires, then destroy or de-identify them.
Complaints about privacy
If you’re concerned about how I’ve handled your personal information, please tell me in writing using the details below. I’ll acknowledge your complaint within 7 days and aim to give you a decision within 30 days. If I need longer, I’ll tell you why.
You can also contact my licensee’s Resolutions team on 1800 275 564 or at [email protected]. If you’re not satisfied with the outcome, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner on 1300 363 992 or at www.oaic.gov.au. Complaints about credit can also go to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority. See feedback and complaints.

Changes to this policy
I may change this policy as my business or the law changes. The current version is always on this page, and it applies to information I already hold.
